Swimming Club Members
Bondi Icebergs Swimming Club is the oldest Winter Swimming Club in Australia. The purpose is to foster winter swimming and encourage participation in sport for all. To be an Icebergs you must complete 75 swims over 5 years. The Icebergs swim races are handicapped races to cater for all levels of swimming ability. Swim membership opens in April each year and new members are required to attend an induction day and swim a qualifying lap. Join over 900 like-minded people and enjoy the camaraderie of The Club!
Frequently Asked Questions
If I'm not a swimming member, can I still come to the pool for a swim?
If you aren't a member, you are more than welcome to pay the casual admission fee at the pool entrance and have a swim! Towels are also available to hire as well should you forget to bring your own.
If I'm coming as a spectator, but not swimming, do I have to pay the full fee?
If you were just coming along to view the pool or be a spectator of any events, there is a spectators fee that applies, rather than the full cost of a casual swim.
