Bring on September! We’re super excited to host the Aussie Titles this year and encourage all competitors to check back to this page for regular updates. Please find below the itinerary as it currently stands – stay tuned to this page for further updates.

Friday 14th September – Beat the traffic!

For those out-of-towners who arrive early and local Swimming Clubs who wish to catch up for a light refreshment on Friday evening, from 6pm the Club has “Sunset Sessions” featuring free, live acoustic music. We welcome you to join us there, and all the Footy Finals will be screening in the “Deep End”, located at the northern end of the Club.

Saturday 15th September – Dash for Cash and BBQ/Drinks on Deck

The Bondi Icebergs Swimming Club are proud to be hosting and sponsoring the “Dash for Cash” for nominated time individuals and relays (6 person). These events are free to enter and will commence at 10.30am with registration from 9.45am. The Club will put up a total of $1,000 cash prizes for the top three in each of the events. Following the “Dash for Cash” swims, a $4 BBQ and Bar will open on the pool deck (11.30am – 3.30pm) for visiting Clubs to enjoy the picturesque views of the iconic Bondi Beach.

Sunday 16th September

Australian Winter Swimming Championships

Venue:  North Sydney Olympic Pool, 4 Alfred Street South, Milsons Point (150m walk from Milsons Point, Train Station) Time: starts 8.00am sharp! Entry to the pool is $5.

North Sydney Pool Access

With the Sydney Marathon, the best way to get to North Sydney Olympic Pool is via a train to Milsons Pont station. As for the trains, they run every 8 minutes from Central, Town Hall or Wynyard on the Sunday. You will need an Opal card and it is $2.70 all day travel on Sydney Trains and Ferries.

Parking: Parking is restricted and vehicular access only for residential cars around Milsons Point. Park around Kirribilli and walk or North Sydney/Lavender Bay and walk.

Those wishing to drive, the Harbour Tunnel is open and I would suggest you drive to train stations north of Milsons Point (St. Leonards, Wollstonecraft) and get the train back in. There are numerous parking stations and free parking options on Sunday’s just check on the “Parkopedia” website

From the East: Moore Park Rd Eastern Distributor on ramp closed. Access ED from South Dowling St on ramp Via Alison Rd, Randwick, and OR Cross-City Tunnel to Harbour Tunnel via Rushcutters Bay.

South: Access Eastern Distributor via Southern Cross Drive as normal.


Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September

Buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central.
Trains run to a changed timetable between:

Cronulla and Sydenham
Central and Bondi Junction

Waterfall and Hurstville: each day between 6.30am and 9.30am Waterfall trains start and end at Sutherland. Some Cronulla trains make extra stops.

If you are travelling to the City from Illawarra Line stations please change at Wolli Creek for a T8 Airport & South Line train to City Circle stations.

If you are travelling to stations between Central and Bondi Junction please change at Wolli Creek for a T8 Airport & South Line train to Central, then change for a train to Martin Place, Kings Cross, Edgecliff or Bondi Junction.

Function & Presentation

The function at Easts Rugby Club will cost $30 per person.  For catering numbers, all Clubs must pre-order tickets by contacting Malin Hakansson either via email: or phone: (02) 9130 8732.

Venue: Easts Rugby Club, 22a O’Sullivan Road, Rose Bay Time: from 1.00pm

Getting to Function at Easts Rugby Club

There will be Sydney Ferries (hold 350+) that depart Milson Point Wharf every half hour at the following times 11.37am, 12.07pm, 12.37pm, 1.07pm, 1.37pm that take 23 minutes to get swimmers to Rose Bay Wharf (one stop at Circular Quay). You will need an Opal card and it is $2.70 all day travel on Sydney Trains and Ferries.

Rose Bay Wharf is only 15-minute walk to Easts Rugby Club. A complimentary 30-seater bus will also be shuttling swimmers from Rose Bay wharf to Easts Rugby Club.

After Party @ Bondi Icebergs

A shuttle bus will run from Easts Rugby Club (4.00pm – 5.30pm) to take any winter swimmers back to the Bondi Icebergs Club.

The function at Easts Rugby Club will cost $30 per person.

Icebergs Club will be selling tickets for Clubs to purchase in bulk for all their members.
