Swans player RYAN O’KEEFE celebrates his engagement.
Ryan O’Keefe and Tara Duggan will celebrate their engagement at Bondi Icebergs Club this Sunday the 10th June amongst some 150 guests.
Players, their partners plus friends and family will join the happy couple at the well-known Bondi venue with stunning views over Bondi Beach, in a private gathering.
Ryan’s family is traveling from Melbourne, with Tara’s family coming from the far north coast for the occasion, and both sides will be meeting for the first time this weekend.
Sporting a fabulous (and too big to mention) rock, Tara is thrilled, and is busy organising the wedding, scheduled for mid January 2008 around Ryan’s tight playing commitments with the Sydney Swans. Ryan popped the question in March this year.

“Choir of Hard Knocks” dines at Bondi Icebergs Club
Thanks to the generosity of Bidvest, Bondi Icebergs Club has joined the list of supporters of the Choir of Hard Knocks, providing lunch today for the choir.
In preparation for their third sell out concert at the Sydney Opera House tonight, 42 choir members and 18 support staff of the Choir of Hard Knocks enjoyed lunch at Bondi Icebergs Club today.
Joining a stellar cast of supporters, including Virgin Blue, Murray Coaches and Accor Hotels, the Club was more than happy to support such a worthy cause, providing complimentary fish ‘n’ chips and refreshments for the 60 diners.
Million dollar views coupled with a relaxed atmosphere on a clear Winter’s day in Bondi were just the right mix for the large team who have been assembled in Sydney for the past week or so.
Bondi Icebergs Club continues to be a favourite destination for tourists, celebrities, members and visitors to the Bondi precinct.

BACKING up from a win on the football field this weekend, Sydney Swans star Ryan O'Keefe won over his fiancee Tara Duggan – and his divided family – at the couple's engagement party last night.
The AFL pin-up, who dated Princess Mary before she married her Danish prince, celebrated with 150 guests, including his Swans teammates, at the Bondi Icebergs event.
But it proved an emotional night for O'Keefe, whose family were reunited for the first time since the death of his beloved brother. The close-knit clan were torn apart after 18-year-old Aaron was killed in a car accident five years ago.
"I would love to have had him here but it will probably be a bit more emotional on the wedding day," O'Keefe told
Confidential last night.
"I'm sure he'd be happy with my wife-to-be."
The genetically blessed pair were introduced two years ago by the girlfriend of O'Keefe's teammate Jude Bolton and have been together ever since.
While the star forward plays it hard on game days, the 26-year-old turned soft when he popped the question – asking for Duggan's hand underneath the Harbour Bridge in March after a romantic dinner at the Waterfront restaurant in The Rocks.
After presenting her with a 2.1 carat princess cut platinum ring, they celebrated with a bottle of champagne the couple had bought on holiday in France.
It will be busy year for the pair, who plan to marry in the off-season in January.
